Privacy Policy

01 Who we are

WedWiz ("we", "us", "our") is a wedding page builder operated as an independent product based in Melbourne, Australia. Our website is wedwiz.app and you can reach us at hello@wedwiz.app.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use WedWiz to create or visit a wedding page.

02 What information we collect

We collect information in two ways: information you provide directly, and information collected automatically.

Information you provide (couples building a wedding page):

• Partner names and wedding date
• Venue names and addresses
• Your love story and day schedule text
• Photos you upload (hero, story, and up to 5 gallery images)
• Gift registry links
• FAQ content
• Contact email address (used for RSVP notifications)
• Social media handles (optional)

Information collected at payment:

• Your email address (collected by Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor)
• Order ID and payment confirmation (we receive this via webhook — no card details ever reach our servers)

Information submitted by your wedding guests (RSVP form):

• Guest name and email address (if provided)
• Attendance status and guest count
• Dietary requirements and any message to you

Information collected automatically:

• Cloudflare may collect standard server logs (IP address, request URL, timestamp) as part of routing and security. We generally do not use or access identifiable server log information except where necessary for security, abuse prevention, or troubleshooting.
• Google Fonts: when you or your guests load a WedWiz page, your browser makes a request to Google's servers to load our fonts (Cormorant Garamond and Lato). Google may collect your IP address as part of this request. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com for details.

03 How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to deliver the WedWiz service:

• To build and publish your wedding page at your chosen subdomain (e.g. jake-and-emma.wedwiz.app)
• To store your page content so it remains accessible to your guests
• To verify your payment and unlock watermark-free publishing
• To send you your unique page edit link after payment
• To forward RSVP submissions to your nominated email address
• To send a renewal reminder approximately 30 days before your page expires (at the 11-month mark) — this feature is planned and not yet active

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.

04 How we store your information

Your wedding page content (text and photos) is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure:

• Cloudflare KV — stores your wedding page HTML and form data (text fields, schedule, FAQ)
• Cloudflare R2 — stores your uploaded photos

Cloudflare's data centres are distributed globally. Data may be stored and processed in data centres outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe. Cloudflare maintains various security and compliance certifications. For current information, please refer to Cloudflare's published compliance documentation.

Your payment token (which unlocks your account) is stored in your browser's local storage on your device — it never leaves your device except when verifying with our server.

05 Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate WedWiz. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) — infrastructure, hosting, KV storage, R2 storage, DNS. Processes all web requests to wedwiz.app and *.wedwiz.app subdomains.
• Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com) — payment processing. Handles all payment card data. We receive only your email address and an order confirmation. We never see your card details.
• Resend (resend.com) — transactional email delivery. Used to send your post-payment edit link and to forward RSVP submissions to you.
• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) — fonts (Cormorant Garamond and Lato). Your browser makes a request to Google's servers to load these fonts.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising or behavioural tracking tools.

06 Cookies and local storage

WedWiz does not use cookies for tracking or advertising.

The builder (builder.html) uses your browser's local storage to save your progress between sessions. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers except when you click "Publish Live". It includes:

• Your form field values (names, dates, venue text, etc.)
• Your payment token (to remember that you have paid)
• Your published page slug (to enable republishing)
• A record of which photo slots have been uploaded to R2

You can clear this data at any time using the "Clear all" button in the builder, or by clearing your browser's local storage.

07 Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — you can update your wedding page content at any time via the builder using your edit link
• Deletion — you can request that we delete your wedding page and associated data by emailing hello@wedwiz.app. We aim to action deletion requests within 14 days where reasonably practicable.
• Portability — your wedding page is standard HTML. You can request a copy of your page HTML at any time.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the UK, you may also have rights under GDPR including the right to object to processing and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Where GDPR applies, we process personal data primarily to perform our contract with you (providing the service) and for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the service.

Australian users have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). To make a privacy complaint, contact us at hello@wedwiz.app. If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

08 Data retention

Your wedding page and associated data is retained for 1 year from your wedding date (as entered in the builder). After this period, your page will no longer be publicly accessible.

You may renew for $5 to extend hosting. If you do not renew, your page and associated data will be removed from our storage within 30 days of expiry.

Payment records (order ID, token) are retained for 3 years for accounting and support purposes, consistent with Australian tax record-keeping requirements.

RSVP submissions are processed solely for delivery to your nominated email address and are not retained longer than reasonably necessary to complete delivery.

09 Children's privacy

WedWiz is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at hello@wedwiz.app and we will promptly delete it.

10 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify couples via the email address associated with their account.

Your continued use of WedWiz after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
